Wow, did you see that year wizz by at break-neck speed? I can't believe it's already time to start screwing up the date when writing cheques again. We received a 3T but the great thing about this is that Kyria is in a 3T and my daughter Nevaeh is in a size 5. Nevaeh is little enough to where she can wear this dress as well and it still looks wonderful on her. I match it with a pair of white tights and some brown boots and she is set to go! She loves the outfit. Only bad part is, when Kyria see’s her wearing it she throws and ABSOLUTE FIT! This dress is now Kyria’s favorite and it’s like you have to peel it off of her because she refuses to take it off!

This dress is beautifully hand made, the stitching is perfect and strong and made to last. If both of my girls can wear it and not have it torn up by now I can 100% recommend the product! Small Potatoes work is just stunning. And the dresses also come in many more fabric choices!

Thank you fabric gods!

It's been a bit touch and go there for all the moms of boys out there. Mod Zoo Blue, my most popular boys' fabric has been out of stock for a while. Everyone has been walking on egg shells as we patiently awaited news from the manufacturer to hear if it would be reprinted. I guess the stars aligned and alas, it has been reprinted, and will once again grace the pages of my online store. Shipping ETA is still TBD, but it won't be long now! Just in time for summer hats, pants and Drinky Leashes (a must for stroller season!).

Other than this post, and making sure my children are fed, I'm not doing any work today. To all the mothers and mothers-to-be... I hope you're being spoiled rotten today and enjoying this special day!

So, I have three things that I covet, and to some degree, horde. Pretty fabric, pretty paper and pretty ribbons. As a graphic designer I used to squirrel away beautiful paper samples on the shelves of my office. I still have piles of beautiful paper, but no time to do anything really exciting with it (I haven't yet started my second born's baby scrapbook and she's two and a half).

Before I started Small Potatoes I had piles and boxes full of fabric and ribbons, and other than the occasional outfit or gift for my nieces, I didn't do much with it. Now that I have this wonderful little company, I have a legitimate reason to shop for fabric and ribbons. Sometimes I get carried away because I just love all the beautiful colours, designs and textures. Well, in tidying up my studio this weekend, I realized that I have A LOT of ribbon (not to mention fabric, but that's for another post). So I decided to have a Binky Leash sale. Wow, I can't believe we're into April already! Where did the last month go? I thought this time of year was supposed to drag on forever. How retail is that title??? But if it's as cold where you live as where I live, I bet you could still do with a little extra cozy at this time of year. Makes you wonder if it is EVER going to warm up. Wow, I managed to find a photo of me to put on my profile! Most of our family photos consist of the kids doing cute things.

In other "face" news, and under the heading of "holy cow, where did I find time to do this???", I finally joined the millenium and created a Facebook page for Small Potatoes. On it you will find a bunch of photos as well as a plethora of new fabrics I'm considering adding to my spring/summer line. Please let me know what you think - I'm looking for customer input as much as possible. I'd buy it all but I'm a chronic fabric-oholic, and I know that as with any addiction, moderation is key.
